Bold Moves, Mighty Roars:

Meet the Lions

Ages: 15 months - 2 years 9 months

Welcome to the Lions, our toddler classroom, where every day is an adventure in learning and growth! Our toddlers are at a stage where curiosity drives their day, and our structured yet flexible environment is designed to harness this natural inclination for exploration. Through a blend of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities, we nurture each toddler's developmental milestones, fostering independence, communication, and social skills in a playful, supportive setting.

Advancing Motor Development

Our curriculum in the toddler room is crafted to support the developmental needs of toddlers. Morning circle time is the highlight of our day, featuring stories, music, and dancing. Throughout the day, toddlers engage in a variety of activities that cater to individual learning styles, including art, puzzles, and imaginative play with blocks and toys. Indoor and outdoor activities are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills, ensuring a well-rounded approach to learning.

Fostering a Secure and Caring Environment

As with every room, the health and safety of our toddlers are paramount. We ensure a clean, safe environment that meets all regulatory health standards, with regular sanitation of toys and play areas. Our staff is trained to promote healthy habits, including proper hygiene and nutritional practices. We monitor each child's health daily and maintain open communication with parents about their child’s well-being. Outdoor play is a regular part of our routine, allowing toddlers to enjoy fresh air and natural settings as much as weather permits.

Promoting Interactive Play and Socialization

Playtime is essential for toddler development (it’s in our name, afterall!). Our toddler curriculum is designed to make the most of this active learning time. We provide ample space for running, climbing, and exploring, enabling toddlers to use their large motor skills daily. Water play and other sensory-rich activities are incorporated regularly, especially in favorable weather, to encourage creative expression and peer interaction. Playtime is not only fun but also a critical time for toddlers to experiment, socialize, and learn about the world around them through guided and free play experiences.
